This is a cut-out of the motif on the conference poster: a view of the old town of Passau from the river Inn. On the left one can see the cathedral, which features the largest church organ in the world. To the right of it on the far hill is the Veste Oberhaus, an old fortress built in 1219. The water in front is the river Inn, coming from Innsbruck and bending to the right, where it joins the rivers Ilz and Danube.
Some more images of Passau have been taken on a balloon ride.
